Welcome

A unique blind tasting, design and value-tested competition for spirits, wines, beers and drinks products for the UK bar industry.

The awards are purely focused on the on-trade and are open to drinks brands that are available or ready to market in UK cocktail, hotel and restaurant bars.

Now in their seventh year, the event aims to provide independent and honest reviews for drinks brands targeting the UK bar trade. The results will be a relevant and practical source of reference for bartenders, bar managers, bar owners and professionals when making purchasing decisions for their establishments.

Our judging panel boasts some of the most renowned names in the UK bar industry today, giving our winning spirits, beer and drinks products an endorsement from the most influential people in the global drinks industry.

The BBAs is designed to judge the qualities that are most important to bartenders and bar operators, evaluating not just the quality of the liquids but also their value for money and the usability / appeal of the bottle. All factors which are very important considerations for the bartender. As a brand owner as well, I cannot speak highly enough of the BBAs. We were delighted when Portobello Road London Dry Gin won its category back in the inaugural BBAs - recognition I remain proud of and still communicate to consumers in our developing markets.

Jake Burger, The Distillery / Portobello Road London Dry Gin

There are no brands without bartenders; these are the people making drinking recommendations on a daily basis. This is why the Bartenders' Brand Awards competition is so valuable - it's an opportunity to get your products in front of the best in the industry, have them blind tasted and receive constructive feedback. This is the kind of seal of approval your brand needs.

Camille Vidal, La Maison Wellness

I think the key reason why Class' Bartenders' Brand awards are so important is how they are adjudicated. Class has a unique bar reach and it calls on this in getting bartenders to be the judge and jury. From a brand perspective it really feels that the feedback received is very relevant. Internally the award means a great deal to the team who work tirelessly for a product aimed at enticing bar professionals.

Declan McGurk, Boatyard Distillery

For me the BBAs are one of the most important awards, especially for the on-trade. Products are judged by the most experienced bartenders in the given category and they judge not only on how it tastes, but what you can do with it too. Bartenders give honest feedback, they know the trends and have a working knowledge of brands and how to use them. It's also great to judge the packaging because people buy with they eyes. Value for money is also a key part of the purchasing decision for bartenders.
